Your commute through the Turcot interchange next Friday may be problematic.
Major ramps in that sector will be closed during the day - another planned shutdown during a weekday for significant work, this time to dismantle all of the 15 South over Highway 20 and also the railroad.
- No access to the Ville Marie from 20 east
- No access to 20 west from the Ville Marie
- Highway 15 south to the Champlain Bridge will also be closed through the Turcot
Those sections of highways will be shut down beginning April 4, Thursday night at 11 p.m. and only reopen the following Monday, April 8 at 5 a.m.
Normally the weekend Turcot closures take place over three days starting Friday night.
Several measures will be in place on that Friday to help people who intend to take public transportation:
- You'll be able to ride for free on the Vaudreuil-Hudson and Candiac commuter train lines.
- They'll be adding six departures on the Vaudreuil-Hudson line with stops only at Dorval, Vendôme and Lucien-L’Allier.
- Buses 111 and 28 will be redirected to Angrignon metro. Free transit fares for the metro will be given to users for their trips to and from their destination.
