This year there have been about a dozen sightings across the island, including the latest in Ahuntsic August 4, but there have also been three reported cases of people being bitten by the animals.
The Journal de Montreal says two animals were captured Sunday by Quebec wildlife officers at the St-Michel environmental complex in the north end.
Coyotes are normally nocturnal and shy but some animals lose their fear of human contact after being fed.
