If you had to be out and about today, you may have noticed there's a lot of water everywhere.
The snow and rain over the last 24 hours or so have completely overwhelmed the city's sewer systems in some places, causing some streets and intersections to become veritable lakes.
One video which has been making the rounds on social media was posted to the Facebook page of Boulangerie Atlantique, a bagel and sausage shop on Cote des Neiges Rd., and it shows a snowplow trying to drive through the intersection of Queen Mary Rd. and Cote des Neiges Rd., and well — all it's plowing is a whole lot of water.
It's a scene that's being repeated all over town Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, the shop posted a followup video a few hours later, suggesting city crews, or someone else, have drained the swamp — or at least a sizable part of it.
And keep in mind — all of this is going to freeze over by Thursday afternoon and evening, as the forecast low dips to -10, with still more snow on the way.
