It's going to take two months and a little over $100,000 to get to the bottom of the mess that stranded about 500 people on Highway 13 for 13 hours this month.
The overall budget will include $56,000 to be paid to Florent Gagné, the former head of the Sûreté du Québec and special investigator appointed by the Premier to head up the investigation. Another $50,000 will be spent on the other experts brought in to comb through all the statements from those trapped overnight from March 14 to 15.
The report is to be submitted by May 25, and will be made public.
Gagné and his group have also been tasked at determining ways to ensure such a debacle is not repeated.
