The Couillard Liberals have rolled out another pre-election goodie — $132 million in improvements for Greenfield Park's Charles Le Moyne hospital.
Health minister Gaetan Barrette was on hand for the announcement Friday morning — the biggest part of which will be $132 million for more beds, brand new, bug-free operating rooms, and post-op recovery facilities.
"That theatre have increased the number of ORs from 13 to 15, and there's going to be new facilities for same day surgeries," Barrette said.
Work has already begun on a new building that will handle enhanced ambulatory service and 25 additional hospital beds. The work should be completed by 2020.
