Hydro Québec is on track for another record-breaking year of electricity exports.
By the end of the year, the utility suspects it will have have supplied 34-terrawatts of energy to export markets in neighbouring Ontario, New Brunswick, New England and New York state - two-terrawatts more than the previous year.
"We're always going to ensure that we first meet the needs of our Quebec customers," said Hydro Quebec spokesperson, Simon Bergevin.
On average, Hydro Québec sells about $2-million worth of electricity outside provincial borders each day.
