Snow, rain, ice, high winds, dangerous snow squalls, bitter cold, unseasonable warmth — Montreal has seen it all this January.

And the wild weather ride is expected to continue for the next week or so.

After a mild week, temperatures are expected to plummet during the day on Friday — all the way down to -19 on Friday night.

This coming weekend is expected to be sunny, but colder than normal, with highs reaching -9 both days.

The normal high in Montreal for this time of year is -6.

Then, by the middle of next week, things could get interesting.

The Weather Network's long-range forecasts for the middle of next week call for snow or rain as temperatures hover around the freezing point.

By next weekend, however, those long-range forecasts calls for a chance of either snow or rain, and highs climbing to 5 degrees on Saturday the 21st, and 7 on Sunday the 22nd.
