There was yet another communications-related system-wide metro shutdown just after the Monday morning rush hour — however, this one was relatively short-lived.
Service was halted on all four lines just before 9:30 a.m. on Monday, though service resumed about 15 minutes later.
An STM spokesperson says the problem was with the network's communication system, though she did not elaborate further.
Earlier this month, two other system-wide shutdowns were blamed on a problem with the communication system. Both of those times, the system was halted for about a half an hour.
At the time, the spokesperson said the STM was following protocol, shutting down all four lines for safety reasons.
