Quebec roads have seen several serious accidents during this weekend's dumping of freezing rain and snow—and at least three people have died in the collisions.
A woman lost control her vehicle on Highway 132 Saturday night near Montmagny, east of Quebec City, and hit a streetlamp. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
In Pointe-à-la-Croix, in Gaspésie, a violent crash left two gravely injured around 1 a.m. on Sunday. The car they were in flipped and caught fire.
The two women inside, aged 36 and 37 years old, were rushed to hospital where both later succumbed to their injuries.
