Good news for Quebec Solidaire.
The provincial opposition party received a thousand new membership requests in the 24 hours after Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois announced he wants to run for the party.
Nadeau-Dubois wants to run in Gouin, the riding that until recently was represented by party co-founder and female spokesperon Francoise David.
Nadeau-Dubois was a familiar face during 2012 so-called Maple Spring protests against planned tuition hikes by the then Charest government.
He was a student spokesperson.
Quebec Solidaire will chose its candidate in the Gouin riding on March 26th.
