Boil water advisory in effect for section of PointeClaire affected by water main break

The City of Pointe-Claire issued the advisory on its web site Thursday morning. The advisory affects about 100 residents living on Victoria and Ste. Claire Aves.
"The water supply has been shut off on Victoria Avenue. A boil water advisory has been issued for affected residents," the statement reads.
At around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, a 14-inch pipe burst on Victoria Ave., near Ste. Claire Ave., sending water shooting into the streets, and into several basements in the area.
The city also says traffic is moving again on Lakeshore Rd.
