A boil-water advisory that was put in place last Friday has now been lifted.
The advisory was put in place for residents of a stretch of Claremont Ave, north of Sherbrooke St., as well as Parkman Place and Willow Ave. The city says tap water can be consumed safely, though it recommends water be allowed to run from all faucets for one or two minutes to flush out the plumbing, and to run outdoor hoses and taps for at least a minute.
The city lifted the advisory early Tuesday, after testing done by Quebec's environment ministry found no traces of contaminants.
