How easy is it to have your credit card information stolen? A new video by police officers in Saint-Eustache shows it can be very easy.
Posted by Sergent Tremblay on Facebook, the video shows a small black box being attached to a credit card reader on a gas station pump.
That small box snaps on in seconds, and blends in enough that unsuspecting motorists are easily fooled.
The devices, which are often placed on card readers at gas stations and ATMs, capture the information needed to clone your card, while strategically placed cameras can capture any unprotected PINs.
At the end of the day collect the data, clone the cards and gain access to potentially hundreds of bank accounts.
