The incumbent Denis Coderre promised that if re-elected he'd set up a compensation plan for merchants affected by major roadwork as well as differential tax rates on the first chunk of value of non-residential buildings.
Projet Montreal leader Valerie Plante was out campaigning including a stop at Concordia University.
Coalition Montreal mayoral candidate Jean Fortier wants a new, more secure location for the World Anti-Doping Agency which is now located at the Stock Exchange Tower, a proposal he claims is supported by ex-agency president Richard Pound.
Voting Day is November 5.
