Three snowmobiling accidents around the province this weekend have led to two deaths and a teenager fighting for his life in hospital.
In Quebec City, a 61-year-old man died in hospital after being hit on his snowmobile by a car while following the snowmobile trail across Lloyd-Welch Blvd., in the suburban Beauport borough, around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Later, southwest of the provincial capital in the town of Dosquet, a man was found on the side of Autoroute 116 around 9 p.m.
There were no witnesses to what occured, but initial findings suggest the snowmobile deviated from the trail and hit a tree, according to Sergeant Hélène Nepton of the Sûreté du Québec.
The man died in hospital from his injuries.
A 14-year-old boy is also in hospital after being thrown from his snowmobile when he collided with rocks near Lac Cloutier in Ste-Beatrix around 8 p.m. Saturday.
Fog and speed are believed to be factors in the teen's accident.
