Longueuil police say they may have something new to say Friday morning following the nearly 3-year old disappearance of a mother and her baby.
Authorities spoke to passersby on a Brossard street corner on Thursday hoping for leads in the mysterious case.
They set up a command post at the corner of Stravinski Ave. and Sabourin Crescent in Brossard.
Jian Ping Li was 42-years old when she and her 6-month-old son, Xian Feng Lu, disappeared on April 30, 2014.
They had been reported missing by the woman's husband, who left the family home that morning and when he returned found no trace of his wife and son.
She had apparently left her identification, money and other personal effects behind, including her son's baby stroller.
In the years since they disappeared, hundreds of tips have come in, but none have led to police clearing up the mystery surrounding their disappearance.
