The doctor behind that full page ad in the Gazette about PK Subban is now talking to the media.
The ad, in the form of a letter, laces into the Canadiens for trading Subban to the Predators and praises him for his financial support of the Children's hospital.
Dr. Charles Kowalski told the Aaron Rand show the letter was a way of getting attention, that trading Subban meant more than just losing a player, but losing a philanthropist.
"I can live with the loss of P.K. the player, I was having trouble dealing with the fact that losing P.K. the person, and specifically who's gonna raise money for the Montreal Children's hospital. I was concerned for the children and families who use the Montreal Children's hospital."
Kowalski, who's an ER physician in Ottawa and has in the past worked with children, has season tickets and says he'll only attend a game in March when the Habs host Subban's new team, the Predators.
His son Gabriel was born prematurely at 32 weeks and neo natal medicine saved his life, said Kowalski.
Subban pledged to give the hospital 10-million dollars over seven years.
