A photo allegedly taken of a fox appearing to ride an STM bus is the talk of social media in Montreal.
The photo of a fox appearing to pose at the front entrance of an STM bus was initially posted on Tuesday night on the Spotted:STM Facebook page. The poster doesn't say anything about when it was taken, where, or under what circumstances.
A report in the Journal de Montréal suggests the photo may have been snapped Monday night on one of the bus lines running in Parc Jean-Drapeau, but the neither the STM nor a passenger filed a report of any kind about a fox on one of its buses.
"We haven't received a report from a driver or a client regarding the presence of that animal aboard one of our buses," said STM spokesperson Philippe Déry in a statement. "We therefore can't confirm if this event really happened. If it did, we hope they had their [Opus] card!"
Many who left comments on the Facebook page struck up a similar theme: "Did he have an evening unlimited pass?" wrote one commenter.
"What does the fox say?!!!" wrote another, referring to the title of a popular novelty song from a few years ago by a Norwegian duo called Ylvis.
