A 23-year-old Hudson woman is hoping for an exemplary sentence for the drunk driver who ran her down as she was jogging over three years ago.
Jordan Taylor, 25, pleaded guilty last month to two counts of drunk driving causing bodily harm. Charges of criminal negligence, hit and run and dangerous driving were stayed.
Taylor's lawyer said he was not available for comment.
"He should have pleaded guilty in the beginning," said Tina Lyon Adams.
"This entire thing could have been completely avoided, but he still decided to get into his vehicle."

Adams said her life has been put on hold since June 12, 2015.
"Operation after operation, doctors appointments after doctors appointments," said Adams in an interview with CJAD 800.
"I can never run again, I have a lot of restrictions, I have limitations."
Adams said she's had 19 or 20 operations for a reconstructed pelvis, a hip replacement and most recently, a new plate in her left leg. She said she also suffers from memory lapses and has to take painkillers every day.
With her childhood dream of being a police officer now over, Adams said she'll be finishing her CEGEP with her new goal of becoming a gym teacher.
"I'm going to take two classes this semester and start from there," said Adams.
Adams has marked the third anniversary of the incident with a photo shoot - photos of her in a wheelchair or on crutches, scars and all.
"After three years, I'm still undergoing operations. It's not finished for me, it'll never be over, with all the pain and suffering that I had to go through," said Adams.
"And I wanted to show my scars as well to show that even though you have scars, it doesn't matter. You're beautiful no matter what, whether you have stretch marks, scars, anything. It doesn't change who you are."
Besides a prison term, Adams wants relevant community service for Taylor. She said she'll be present for his sentencing hearing this fall.
"I think he should be working with people who've gone through major things like I did so he could see the impact it has on people's lives," said Adams.
"He hurt me physically, emotionally, psychologically and I'm scarred pretty much everywhere in my life."
