You can wine and dine and dine and dash, but thieves in Vaudreuil-Dorion performed a rare (and criminal) "wine and dash" early Sunday morning at a local SAQ outlet.
Windows at the St. Charles Ave. liquor store were smashed in around 2:45 a.m., security footage showing suspects dressed all in black entering the location and stealing hundreds of bottles of booze, largely wine and spirits.
According to police, no money was taken from the cash registers, though it is unlikely there was any left in the tills overnight.
The haul of stolen alcohol is estimated to be valued at several thousands of dollars.
Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
