Sunday night marks the formal kickoff of Montreal's 375th anniversary celebrations.
Among other things, the Olympic Tower, the Biosphere and St Joseph's Oratory will be lit up.
Other city landmarks will also be lit.
CTV will broadcast a special show Sunday night marking the start of festivities highlighting next year's birthday.
The celebrartiions coincide with Canada's 150th birthday and Expo 67's 50th anniversary.
Lights on the Jacques Cartier bridge, which mayor Coderre said would cost some 40-million dollars, will be turned on in mid May.
