Laval police are investigating a possible case of arson following an overnight fire at a house on du Commisseur.
Firefighters received a 9-1-1 call from an alarm company just after 9:30, and found the house engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control but Laval police spokeswoman Evelyn Boudreau tells CTV officers stationed at the house noticed the fire had picked back up just before 3:30 this morning.
Firefighters returned to the scene to extinguish the blaze a second time.
The owners of the home are out of town, and no one was hurt. Police say a broken window and other elements lead them to believe the fire was intentionally set.
