A man was stabbed in Old Montreal early this morning.
Montreal police say it happened just before 3 am during a confrontation between two men in their 30's near the intersection of St-Paul West and St Francois Xavier.
The suspect fled the scene but was arrested a short time later and is in custody.
A police spokesman says the man who was stabbed was conscious when taken to hospital but his condition is not known.
The suspect is expected to appear in court later today.
