Montreal police say that a 35-year-old man was stabbed on Crescent Street early this morning.
Though the injuries to his upper-body were serious, authorities say his life is not in danger.
The assault occured at 4:10am near Crescent's intersection with de Maisonneuve, after an altercation between the victim and another individual. That suspect has escaped.
Investigators are attempting to determine the identity of the suspect.
Today's stabbing comes 24 hours after a deadly stabbing incident that occured not far away, in Chinatown. Four arrests were made after two men were stabbed, with a 20-year-old victim dying later in the morning yesterday -- becoming Montreal's 15th homicide of the year.
