More than 100 McGill University professors have signed an open letter denouncing Quebec's religious neutrality law.
Describing Bill 62 as divisive and discriminatory while specifically targeting Muslim women the letter states that the signatories
will not enforce the provisions of the law in their classrooms, offices, or events.
In calling for the revocation of Bill 62 they say the legislation flies in the face of McGill University’s stated mission to promote “principles of academic freedom, integrity, responsibility, equity, and inclusiveness.”
