Montreal 375 celebration organizer apologizes for lack of diversity in promotional video
The commissioner for celebrations for the City of Montreal's 375 anniversary celebrations next year has apologized after concerns were raised that a promotional video released Tuesday featured only white performers and did not reflect Montreal's cultural make-up.
Gilbert Rozon told CJAD " It went on air without me seeing it. It's my responsibility... I should have seen it before." "It's my mistake and I cannot say anything else than I apologize"
Rozon has ordered the producers to make a new video that better reflects Montreal's diversity.
It will be used to promote a TV show which will highlight programming for next year's anniversary celebrations.
