A father of two from Blainville is looking for one of the men he says helped saved his life after a horrific motorcycle accident earlier this month.
On July 11, Martin Lamarche lost control of his brand new motorcycle on Highway 640. The crash sent him flying from his bike and he landed over a guard rail off the highway.
He suffered several serious injuries, including a deep cut to his arm which severed his bicep. While lying on the grass next to the highway, still unsure of what was going on, four Good Samaritans rushed to his aid.
The 35-year-old says it is because of those individuals that his children still have a father.
After more than a week in hospital recovering Lamarche returned home and set out on a new mission: find the men who helped save his life.
He took to Facebook, with a post that has now been shared in almost every region of the province, asking if anyone knows the men who cared for him until paramedics arrived.
To date, three of the Good Samaritans have come forward, but it's the fourth Lamarche would really like to thank.
He shared a short video of the aftermath. In the clip a man is seen taking off his own shirt in an attempt to reduce the bleeding from gash in his arm.
"This man deserves to be recognized as a hero," Lamarche wrote Monday night.
