The weekday drive through the Turcot Interchange will be a little different Monday, with more long-term closures on the way.
The de La Verendrye exit from Highway 15 South closed Friday night and will remain off limits until the end of 2019.
Since Saturday morning the Girouard St. entrance at the bottom of the southbound Decarie Expressway has been closed. It will also be closed until the end of next year.
The closures are part of new configurations while crews work on Highway 15 South.
Motorists will be using a new portion of the southbound Highway while those heading North on the 15 will have access to a counter flow lane.
In January work to demolish a section of the Angrignon overpass will begin, forcing Angrignon Blvd. between the Lachine Canal and Notre Dame St. to be reduced to one lane in each direction. The move will leave just one lane to cross the canal, forcing motorists to travel across one direction at a time.
With the Angrignon and de La Verendrye closures expected to last one year traffic in LaSalle is expected to quickly turn into a nightmare.
"We know it will have an impact on people in the borough of LaSalle and also people travelling in this area," Transport Quebec spokesperson Martin Girard told CTV Montreal.
