Over a thousand customers in Laval have been in the dark since the overnight hours, with most unlikely to have electricity service restored until noon.
Though the outages are scattered across the island, the bulk of the outages are concentrated by Parc Rosaire-Gauthier, near Cartier métro station -- with that particular outage comprising just shy of 1,000 customers on its own. Other outages are along Highway 440, as well as in Chomedy.
Hydro-Quebec's website indicates that the majority of the outages are weather-related.
Work crews have been assigned to the affected areas, and most impacted customers in Laval are expected to have their service fully restored by 12:00 this afternoon.
