The Montreal Canadiens won't see P.K. Subban in action for their first same in Nashville since the Subban-for-Weber trade, and it seems the Predators might not see Habs captain Max Pacioretty either.
Pacioretty took a powerful shot to the leg in practice Tuesday and went down in a heap. The shot, ironically, came off the stick of Shea Weber.
Habs coach Michel Therrien says Pacioretty is being looked at by doctors, but after practice wasn't able to say whether he'd suit up for the game Tuesday night.
The Habs are already missing several regulars because of injury — including Alex Galchenyuk, David Desharnais, Greg Pateryn, Andrew Shaw and Andrei Markov — none of whom will be travelling with the team in their current road trip, which will also take them to Dallas on Wednesday and Toronto on Saturday.
The Habs called up forward Bobby Farnham from the St. John's Ice Caps — though it's not clear whether he'll suit up for Tuesday night's game. He's played previously with the Penguins and Devils.
Subban, meantime, is on injured reserve with what the Predators are calling an 'upper-body injury'.
The game will be broadcast live on TSN 690, starting at 8 p.m.
