A woman in her 40s was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car Monday night.
It happened at about 10:20 P.M. on Sherbrooke St. near City Councillors St. in downtown Montreal.
According to police, the woman was attempting to cross Sherbrooke when she stepped out from in-between two vehicles. A passing car did not have time to stop.
"She was hit by the vehicle and projected on the ground," said SPVM spokesperson Raphaƫl Bergeron.
The woman suffered serious injuries to her head. "We're talking about life threatening injuries," said Bergeron.
Investigators said speed and alcohol did not play a part in the accident.
