Montreal police accident investigators are trying to determine what led to a collision that sent a 19-year-old woman to hospital Sunday night.
The incident occurred at about 11:00 P.M. at the corners of Hochelaga and Chambly Sts. in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.
According to police the young woman was crossing Hochelaga when she was struck in the middle of the intersection by the vehicle on Chambly.
When first responders arrived the woman was unconscious. She was later taken to hospital with injuries to her upper body in a critical condition. She was later upgraded to stable early Monday morning.
