A 65-year-old man was struck and killed by a heavy truck Tuesday morning in Montreal North.
The collision happened on the corner of Gouin Blvd. East and London Ave. at 9:15 a.m. Police say the truck was trying to turn onto London, and didn't see the pedestrian at first.
The victim was dragged under the truck for several meters, before a passerby flagged the driver down.
The pedestrian was declared dead on the scene, while the 47-year-old truck driver and a witness were taken to hospital to be treated for shock.
