Police are investigating a shooting and stabbing in seperate boroughs in the city's north end on Sunday which both left young men injured.
Around 8:30 p.m., shots were fired inside an apartment on Lapierre St. near Pascale St. in Montreal North.
Police Constable Daniel Lacoursiere says witnesses reported a scuffle between two groups outside the building that then moved inside.
"At least one suspect fired inside the apartment by a window and hit the victim at least once in the lower body," he said.
A 22-year-old man, previously known to police, was taken to hospital where there is no fear for his life, Lacoursiere added.
No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
Police are also looking for an armed man after a stabbing in broad daylight at St-Michel Blvd and de Louvin St. E. around 5:15 p.m.
The victim, a man in his 20s, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are not lifethreatening.
The suspect fled and has not been located. No description has been released.
Lacoursiere said the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.
