Montreal police say they want to talk to a man about a sexual assault that took place in October.
Police say at around 1 a.m. on Oct. 29, 2017, the victim was walking to her building near the corner of Sherbrooke St. and Park Ave. when a man began to harass her.
The woman told the man to leave several times, but the man kept following her and entered the building after she did.
The woman was sexually assaulted before the man ran off.
The man police are looking for is being described as an 'important witness'. He's a black man, about 20 years old, who stands five feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds.
He has short black hair, dark eyes and speaks English without an accent.
He was apparently wearing a blue and white shirt, low-riding blue jeans, and blue Nike sneakers.
Anyone with information on the man is being asked to get in touch with Montreal police through the confidential Info-Crime line at 514-393-1133, or file an online report.
