The taxman is taking an interest in the sale of a couple of properties belonging to former Formula One champ Jacques Villeneuve.
Villeneuve hasn't lived in Quebec since 2012 and is trying to unload a chalet in Harrington in the Laurentians priced at nearly $4-million dollars and a mansion in Westmount worth about $7-million.
Revenue Quebec may want a slice, if one of them sells.
The Journal de Montreal reports that the ministry is of the opinion that the race car driver failed to remit the proper taxes on his business dealings between 2010 and 2012. It is claiming that Villeneuve owes the government nearly $2-million.
In the past, Villeneuve has told the Journal that he paid his taxes in full while a resident of Quebec.
