Radio Canada is reporting that Philippe Pichet's days as Montreal police chief are numbered.
The news agency says a report on the internal management of the police department recommends Pichet be relieved of his duties.
Michel Bouchard's report is expected to be made public on Wednesday.
Montreal police aren't commenting on the allegations.
An administrative inquiry into internal affairs investigations within the force was launched in February by the Public Security Minister.
Pichet joined the force in 1991. He was appointed to a five year term in August 2015.
