Road work this weekend will make hard to get around, or on and off the island of Montreal.
As it is almost every weekend Route 136 eastbound is closed from the Turcot Interchange to Cathedral/Notre Dame Sts. from Friday at 11:59 P.M. to Monday at 5:00 A.M. The closure will mean the ramps connecting Highway 20 east and Highway 15 south to the new Ville Marie will also be closed.
The entrance to Highway 15 south from de la Vérendrye is closed from Friday at 11:59 P.M. to Monday at 5:00 A.M. and one lane will be open on the 15 northbound between St. Patrick/Atwater (Exit 61) and the Turcot Interchange during the same time period.
Work will be done this weekend on the Highway 15 bridge over the Lachine Canal which will cause some headaches on Cote St. Paul Rd.
Starting Friday at 10:00 P.M. to Monday at 5:00 A.M. will be closed from Philippe-Lalonde St. to Monk Blvd. Local traffic will still be permitted and access to stores in the area will be maintained.
Repair work on the Mercier Bridge will shut down one Montreal-bound lane for part of the weekend. Starting Saturday at 5:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. Sunday crews will be repairing the bridge's deck.
Crews tearing down the bridge on Ile Charron will need for close the Louis Hippolyte Lafontaine tunnel in both directions starting Friday at 9:00 P.M. until Saturday at 10:00 A.M.
