Motorists heading into town from the West Island through the Ville St. Pierre Interchange might have their plans forcibly altered this weekend.
On Friday night, Highway 20 eastbound will close at 11 p.m. between Exit 64 and the entrance to the Montreal West Interchange. The ramp from the 138 onto the 20 east will also close at 11, and remain closed through 5 a.m. Monday.
The 20 east after Exit 64 reopens at 7 a.m. on Saturday, but at that time, one lane between the St. Pierre and Montreal West Interchanges goes down until 5 a.m. Monday.
Meanwhile, as work on the Turcot Interchange continues, the ramp from the Decarie South to the Ville-Marie east will go down at 11:59 p.m. Friday, and will remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday.
Also, the Ville-Marie west ramp to Decarie north will go down at 11:59 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday — along with three out of four lanes on the Ville-Marie west between St. Jacques and the Turcot.
Maintenance work underneath the Jacques-Cartier Bridge will force it to close completely, in both directions, from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday.
After that, there'll be lane closures aplenty — only one outbound lane on the bridge will be open between 4 in the morning and 6 in the evening on Saturday; from 6 in the morning until 7 in the evening on Sunday; and from 9 in the evening on Sunday until the start of the Monday morning rush.
Inbound, one lane will be open from 10 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.
