The Quebec liquor board says it will take steps in future to ensure its customers can get into SAQ outlets without being hassled when and if store clerks stage another strike.
The union called a surprise walk-out last Tuesday, and the board scrambled to open about 70 stores by staffing them with managers.
However, customers in some cases had to run the gauntlet of hostile strikers outside, and the SAQ didn't like that.
It tells TVA that it will go to court for an injunction if it has to, to ensure the safety of its clients.
The union has a mandate to call another five days of strike, although negotiators for both sides did meet with a mediator yesterday.
