You may remember a story we brought you back in October, about a Transport Quebec worked being caught behind the wheel of a marked truck sniffing some sort of white powder from the dashboard.
It turns out the worker remains on the Transport Quebec payroll, and has not, and will not be sanctioned for the incident.
A journalist with the French-language TVA network confronted the worker on camera back in the fall. He insisted it was aspirin, which he was not able to swallow.
His union tells the network that he had a doctor's note for the snortable aspirin.
The transport ministry, meantime, says the employee did serve a one-day suspension recently — but it apparently had to do with the fact that he didn't tell his bosses that he was taking medication that caused drowsiness, and insisted on driving the truck anyway.
