Concordia University has reassigned courses for two of its professors pending the outcome of an internal investigation into alleged sexual misconduct in the school's creative writing department.
The Concordia Association for Students in English, (CASE), announced the news in a statement on Friday, and later they called a meeting for students on campus to discuss the growing list of allegations being levelled at the department's professors.
“As of this moment, the courses taught by the professors named online are being reassigned pending investigation, the books written by those faculty members have been removed from the display window on the sixth floor of the Webster Library Building, and a third party is conducting the investigation,” the statement from CASE read.
The university itself wouldn't confirm the news, citing privacy reasons.
Allegations of widespread sexual misconduct at Concordia's English department came to light earlier this week, when former student MIke Spry made the accusations in a blog post.
