A very busy day for Montreal firefighters.
Police said a fire broke out Friday evening at a McGill medical faculty building downtown, on a 5th floor terrace.
It happened near Drummond and Dr. Penfield.
It was later learned the four-alarm fire broke out in the McIntyre Medical Building at the corner of Sir-William-Osler Way and Docteur-Penfield Ave.
A student tweeted that the fire started in the third-floor library.
It seems there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
Earlier in the day, a general alarm fire broke out atop a downtown skyscraper.
Flames erupted on the roof of the Bell Media building at the corner Ste Catherine and McGill College avenue.
Two roofers were taken to hospital.
What triggered the fire at the 30-storey structure wasn't yet known.
