A boil water advisory in Cote-des-Neiges-NDG that was in effect following conduit repairs has been lifted, though over half a day later than the borough expected.
Work was required to repair a broken water conduit, according to an alert from the Cote-des-Neiges-NDG borough, requiring workers to cut running water for several hours to residents and businesses on Décarie blvd between Snowdon St. and Côte-Saint-Luc Rd.
The borough implemented a boil water advisory once water was flowing again into homes and businesses in the area, saying it was a preventative measure.
The boil water advisory was expected to be lifted around 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to a borough estimate, but did not end until roughly 2 p.m. the following day.
