Montreal police said a man died after a Thursday afternoon shooting in Saint Leonard.
The incident happened at 2:40 p.m. near the corner of Langelier and Robert Blvds., in the parking lot of an Ultramar gas station.
The man was said to be 44-year-old Sebastien Beauchamps, who apparently had links to the Hell's Angels biker gang.
The victim's body was found on the ground lying next to a Jeep Cherokee.
He was shot at least once in the upper body.
Police also found what looked to be a silencer on the scene.
Also in the parking lot, there were several other vehicles, which had their doors or windows shot out, or were shot at.
That suggests shots were fired over a large area of the parking lot.
Traffic along the southbound portion of Langelier Blvd. between Robert Blvd. and Magloire St. was shut down while an investigation continued.
