A pedestrian was seriously injured while crossing the street in Montreal North Wednesday night.
Police say the 19 year old man was at a crosswalk on Henri Bourassa Boulevard, near Leger Boulevard, when he was struck by a car.
Several witnesses saw the vehicle as it fled the scene following the collision and were able to give investigators a description of the vehicle involved.
According to police, a 57- year-old man turned himself in several hours after the incident. He has since been released with a promise to appear in court.
