After appealing for help from the public, provincial police say a girl missing for a few days from Roberval in the Lac Saint Jean region was spotted this morning, quite far from home.
The 15-year old was picked up by patrol officers in Repentigny, off the eastern tip of the Island of Montreal. The officers were following up on a tip from the public.
The teenager was last seen in Roberval on January 2. Worried relatives told police she may have been travelling by car toward Montreal, possibly by way of Trois Rivieres, and they had grounds to fear for her health and safety.
Police say the girl was in good health when she was found.
