Starting this summer, Montreal will have three more pedestrian-only walkways.
A portion of St. Ambroise St. near the Atwater Market in the South West borough will be closed to traffic — so will a section of Wellington St. in Verdun, and a section of Roy St. in the Plateau, between Coloniale and de Bullion.
A public market is expected to be set up along Roy St.
At the moment, 45 Montreal streets are closed to traffic on a permanent or seasonal basis.
