A man's been sentenced to life in prison after a murder in LaSalle in 2012.
He stabbed his wife and thier horrified children saw what happened.
"A useless, good for nothing, a coward and a man who betrayed his family's trust. These are the words former in laws used to describe Ahmad Nehme", reported CTV's Stephane Giroux.
Nehme was found guilty last Sunday of first degree murder and faced an automatic sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.
The victim's family wanted to be heard before sentencing was formally announced.
By law, crime victims have the right to address the tribunal to say how the crime affected their lives, and the murdered woman's family laid into the murderer.
"It gives a chance to really open up and say everything we kept inside, during the whole trial and the preceding years," said Dania Nehme, de Boucherville's daughter.
Her family expressed how this violent crime completely destroyed their lives.
