Quebec families with small children could soon be in for a big surprise.
CTV is reporting some pediatrician groups won't administer vaccines in clinics and offices when a ban on acessory fees comes into effect in a week.
Pediatricians won't be allowed to charge the small fee for giving such the shots.
Dr. Mitchell Shiller, who spoke with CTV, works at a children's care clinic in Pierrefonds.
"The proper administration of vaccines requires correct handling, storage, the administration and disposal of of vaccines. These are not inconsequential charges", said Dr. Shiller.
Patients can get the shots at CLSC's, but some prefer getting them during routine check ups.
